Most sunglass brands are done with you the moment you walk out the door. You drop your glasses, scratch a lens, or watch the frame coating start to fleck — and suddenly you're shopping for a replacement pair you didn't budget for. At Cordina, we think that's a broken model. So we built a better one.
The Cordina Lifetime Warranty — what it covers
When you invest in a pair of Cordina sunglasses, you're covered for the things that shouldn't happen. If your glasses fail because of a manufacturing or material defect, we make it right. No questions, no hassle, no cost.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
Lens delamination. Polarized lenses are built in layers, and in rare cases those layers can separate over time. If your Cordina lenses delaminate, we'll replace them.
Frame color flecking. If the finish on your frame starts to chip or fleck — not from a drop or scratch, but from the material breaking down — that's on us, and we'll fix it.
Nose pad wear. Nose pads take a beating from saltwater, sunscreen, and daily use. When they wear out through normal use, we've got you covered.
Spring hinge failure. The hinges on your frames should spring back reliably for the life of the glasses. If they stop working the way they should, we'll replace them.
The rule is simple: if it failed because of the product, we fix it at no cost to you. Period.
Life happens. We get it.
Warranty coverage is one thing. But we also know that real life doesn't always follow warranty rules.
You sat on your glasses. A wave caught you off guard. Your dog got hold of them. You dropped them on the boat ramp and watched them bounce. We've heard it all — because we've lived it all.
That's why we also offer repair services for the everyday stuff. Got a scratched lens? A bent frame? A broken hinge from a hard drop? Instead of tossing a pair of glasses you love and spending another $200, bring them to us and we'll handle exactly what needs to be fixed — at a fair, transparent repair fee.
It's not a warranty claim. It's just a repair. And it's a lot cheaper than starting over.
Why this matters — and why other brands don't do it
Here's the honest truth: most major eyewear brands don't offer repairs because it's not in their financial interest. A broken pair of glasses is a replacement sale. The faster you're back in the market for new glasses, the better for their bottom line.
We're a family business. We'd rather you keep your Cordinas for five years and tell your friends about us than sell you three pairs in two years. The math works out the same — and you end up with sunglasses you actually trust.
There's also something to be said for keeping quality gear out of the landfill. A good pair of polarized sunglasses shouldn't end up in the trash because a hinge failed or a lens got scratched. If the frames are solid and the fit is right, let's just fix what's broken.
How to start a warranty claim or repair request
Getting help is simple:
- Reach out to us directly — email or DM us with a description of the issue and a photo of the damage.
- We'll assess what's needed — warranty coverage or repair, we'll tell you exactly what applies and what it costs (for repairs).
- Send your glasses in — we'll handle the rest and get them back to you as fast as possible.
That's it. No automated forms, no call centers, no runaround. You're talking to the people who actually care about getting your glasses right.
The bottom line
Sunglasses are gear. Gear gets used, and used gear eventually needs attention. At Cordina, we think a brand's relationship with you shouldn't end at checkout — it should be there when you need it most.
Whether it's a manufacturing defect covered under warranty or a hard drop covered under life-happens, we're in your corner. Because that's what it means to stand behind what you make.
