SOUL FLY 2026

Why We Showed Up for Soul Fly CHS

Saturday at The Refinery felt less like a festival and more like a family reunion you didn't know you had. Soul Fly CHS — the brainchild of Alec Griswold, known to the world by his alias Griz, — landed in Charleston for its first throwdown, and we couldn't have been prouder to be there.

For us at Cordina, sponsoring Soul Fly wasn't a marketing decision. It was an active effort to be a part of something bigger in the fishing scene. All fun - No Ego. Exactly what fishing should be about.

Same Water, Same Ethos

Soul Fly's compass points are simple: community first, protect the resource, be serious about fun, leave the ego at the dock. Read that back slowly. That's not a tagline somebody workshopped in a boardroom — that's how the people we know actually live around here. It's how we think about building Cordina, too.

We make polarized sunglasses and hats for the people who push off before sunrise, who know which tide brings the redfish up onto the flats, who'd rather spend an afternoon poling a skiff than scrolling a feed. The gear matters because the day matters. And the day only matters because the water matters.

A Day That Earned Its Hype

Paul Pucketts, Bandito and Leon Majcen headlined a lineup that ran from afternoon into night, with The Stews and Mountain Grass Unit rounding out the jam late into the night. Between sets there were casting demos, fly-tying tables, carnival-style games dialed in for anglers, art installations, and bites from some of Charleston's best. Proceeds benefited Charleston Waterkeeper, the folks fighting every day to keep our marshes, creeks, and harbor clean.

Soul Fly pulled lifelong anglers, first-timers, musicians, artists, and the just-plain-curious into the same field — and that's how the circle gets bigger.

Thank You, Charleston

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the Cordina booth, tried on a pair, talked shop about lenses, or just came by to say hey. You're the reason this little family-owned brand keeps growing.

To Griz, Kyle, Logan and the Marsh Wear crew, and every volunteer who made Saturday happen — see you next year. We'll bring more shades.
