Lens Care

Caring for your Cordina Sunglasses

Cleaning: Rinse your sunglasses daily in warm water while using a mild liquid dish soap to wash each lens surface. Dry lenses by using a clean, soft, absorbent cloth. DO NOT use paper-based products (paper towels) to clean your lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners, soaps or detergents that may leave a deposit on the lens. Do not use tissues added lotions, lanolin, silicone, or other cleaners; they can leave a film on the lens.

Scratches: Our lenses have multiple coatings on the front and back surfaces which are resistant to light scratching; although, hard scratches can break through the multiple layers of our lenses and show. We suggest to move any dirt or debris before cleaning lenses. Always keep in sunglasses in the case which will help with overall life longevity of the frame and lenses.

Heat: Too much heat is bad! Excessive exposure of heat can cause deterioration in lenses and potentially ruin the integrity of sunglass frame. Avoid areas like hanging glasses from mirror, resting on dashboard or anywhere in the car that they might experience a significant amount of exposure to heat.

Chemicals: Chemicals can have a negative effect on lenses. Acidic chemicals can cause delimitation of lenses as well negatively interact with the frames materials. Hair spray, nail polish remover, chlorine, glue are only some examples of chemicals that can destroy your lenses and frame. Hard water from pools as well as unfiltered water can leave white spots on lenses after drying. To avoid this, rinse glasses down with filtered waters and which clean with a cloth.

Hardware: We recommend that you visit your local sunglass shop location periodically to have all hardware and lenses cleaned.
